Square One ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Square One handles and how it is used.

Summary

We do not operate our own user account system or collect or store personal information on our servers.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or analytics.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Your gameplay data is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to a supported platform game service, gameplay progress and achievements are also stored by Apple or Google.

Information We Handle

Square One stores gameplay-related data locally on your device so app features can work. This may include:

Puzzle progress and history
Scores, streaks, and achievements
App settings (for example, theme and gameplay preferences)
Notification preferences and reminder times

Square One does not send this data to our servers because we do not operate a backend account system for user data. If you are signed in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services, the app may send puzzle progress, game history, statistics, achievements, learning progress, and current saved games to that platform. This allows achievements to be recorded and your progress to be restored on other devices using the same platform account.

Notifications

Square One can send optional local reminders (for example, daily puzzle reminders).

Notifications are scheduled and managed on your device.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in app settings or device settings.
We do not use push notification tokens to send messages from a remote server.

Third Parties

Square One does not share personal data with third parties for advertising or analytics.

The app may use Apple Game Center and iCloud on Apple devices, or Google Play Games Services on Android devices, for platform sign-in, achievements, and cloud saves. Apple and Google process game-service data under their respective privacy policies. Square One does not receive a copy on its own servers.

The app also relies on platform services provided by Apple and Google to run on your device, including app distribution and operating-system notification frameworks.

Data Retention

Local gameplay data:

It remains until you delete it in-app (if applicable), uninstall the app, or clear app storage through your device settings.
We do not retain copies of this data on our servers.

Platform game-service data is retained and can be deleted according to your Apple or Google account controls.

Children

Square One is a general-audience puzzle app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Privacy Choices

You can:

Turn notifications on or off in app settings
Control notification permissions in your device settings
Remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage (platform dependent)
Manage Game Center or Play Games data through your platform account settings

International Users

Square One does not operate its own remote data service. Platform game services may process data in the regions where Apple or Google operates.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" above.
